buzzing PSU?

my computer ran fine last night, and when switching on today i noticed
a quiet buzzing which was never there before. i assumed this to be the
hard drive, since i had previously had hard drive problems. so i
opened the computer up and unplugged the hard drive's power and data
cables. "what the hell", i thought and unplugged all the other drives
too in case one of them was making the noise. i switched on again
without putting the cover back on and it was still buzzing. i couldn't
tell where the buzzing was coming from, sometimes it sounded like it
was from the CPU fan or PSU, and sometimes from the other corner of
the motherboard. i then unplugged the computer's internal speaker.
that had been buzzing, but there was still the same buzzing coming
from the PSU (i unplugged the CPU fan and switched on momentarily to
check). i guess the speaker was getting interference or something.

anyway, there is nothing stuck in the fan - i made sure of that. it
blows air out as normal. do i need to buy a new PSU?
