Buying prototype patterns

I just put on order some boards full of prototype patterns. The board is
of my own design from several years ago. It has patterns like SO-a
zillion that you just snip off the amount needed. The snipped off bit is
then super glued down on a sheet of copper clad and wired up.

I only ordered this after looking to see what I could buy. There are very
few available prototyping methods and they all look bad. What do you use?

3M used to sell some ready-made PCB pieces like that with adhesive tape on
the back. It was good.
What do you use?

I do not think it is really worth the effort to build a prototype by hand -
some parts of it, yes - but mostly I just get the whole thing put on a PCB
which I then attack with the oscilloscope, green wires and scalpel as usual
;-)

Wainwright makes this sort of thing, with adhesive backing. They are a bit
expensive.

Right now, I'm designing and building a test box for a completed PCB. I
mostly just need to hold a few resistors etc. The biggest prototype I've
ever worked on, used up two desks and then ran into a computer to do the
rest of the work.

Do you have a link?

Christianson Radio(sp) used to make some that were very good. Like all
good products, they quit making them.
