I have a bush radio here that does nothing, it will turn on fine but once on will not turn off and it will just say connecting to the radio channel, none of the buttons are responding when pressed, I have attempted everything I could think of and the only way to turn it off is by unplugging the battery from the back.
The radio is CDAB431R
It is a handheld bush radio
Please help me sort this issue out, also i am unable to post a picture from my phone for somw reason

Hello,

It seems to be a DAB/FM radio.
It is likely controlled by a microcontroller that is scanning the pushbuttons.
Could it be that one of the pushbutons is stuck?

You can upload pictures to the forum using the "Upload a File" button.
Keep the filesize around 300Kb.

Checked the buttons, visually they seem to be fine but I dont know how to open up the radio to check, there are no screws

Hello,

Are there also no screws in the battery compartiment?
I have seen that in other equipment.

Like bertus, before assuming a circuit failure, I'd suspect a 'stuck' contact on one of the push-buttons.
The only way I know to try to clean the push-button contacts, is to open it up and use contact cleaner (or isopropyl alcohol).
Did you try Googleing your model and see if anybody posted information or a video on how to open the case?
It was put together, so there's a way to take it apart. Might just be snap-action tabs connecting the housing halves.

Im going to be honest here guys, i got really angry at it not working and just hit it a couple of times and now it works perfectly?!?! I do not know the science behind it. The radio had stopped working about a month ago and I had done everything apart from slapping it guess. But saying I would still like to thank you guys for your fast response in trying to help me. Much love and Blessings

Hello,

As said, it could be that one of the buttons got stuck.
Hitting the radio could have freed the stuck button.
