Hey all first post. Used to do a lot of DIY electronics things years ago but been a long long time.

Basically. I'mm lookng to create a timer (adjustable prefferably)

It would have a 240v Permanent live/Neutral/Earth+240v switching input. The unit will have 240v LNE output to run a pump (No more than 5amps@240v)

When the switch wire becomes live, the pump runs, and when the switch wire is turned off, the pump continues to be powered for approx 2 min (verly like an overrun timer in a bathroom fan keeping it on after the lights go out)

Im looking for an electrical diagram to make a simple circuit like this with bits from maplins. Sure it will just be a replay and some capacitors but like I said its been a while.

Would appricate any help

Look for a time delay relay. It will do all you ask with far less risk of things going wrong.

Look for commercial timer relays that use one of these terms:
Delay on Release
Delay on Break
Delay on De-Energization
