    Hi, I a beginner . i found an image of circuit diagram from this link : https://www.instructables.com/DIY-BuckBoost-Converter-Flyback/#discuss

    I dont understand the part around U1 - 7805? what the purpose of U1-7805 in this case ?
    Furthermore, in the diagram there is 5 V source ,where is the 5 V source come from ? The author only say change 20 to 5V by using op amp but in here the 5V source not come from op amp.

    Could you guy explain these for me ?

    The 7805 is a 5 volt regulator.
    The 12V is the input voltage to the 7805 voltage regulator.
    That is where the 5V comes from.
