Hi There,

I had a problem with my TV, it was just clicking and not turning on. I opened it up to see if any of the capacitors had blown up (common problem i'm told) All of the capacitors seemed fine however, one of the components had failed it looks like this

And it is marked with the code C5092.

Am i able to replace this component and it will work or would something else have caused it to fail?

Any insight you could offer would be great. Thanks.

voltage rating of that capacitor's replacement should exceed highest voltage on other components ;

unlucky transistor ( behind it ) may have caused - or suffered from - whatever happened to c5092

so a diode tester will confirm if said xsistor is shorted , or leaky ;

HI
welcome to EP :)

And it is marked with the code C5092.

there is a possibility that something else failed that caused this capacitor to fail

a schematic or service manual is what you need to find out the value, capacitance and voltage rating, of said device

see how you go searching on google :) and then share a link to where it is
