  1. I have a Black and Decker trimmer, that uses the Versa pak (I think
that's what it's called) battery system. The Versa pak is a cylinder
shaped battery. It's about 4-5 inchs long and about an inch in
diameter. It's rated 3.6 volts, so it probably contains 3 cells.
Does anyone know if it's possible to open up the pack and replace the
cells? I tried to remove the black plastic end cap, but it doesn't seem
    to budge. Any clues?

If you have a Batteries Plus dealer nearby, they can re-cell this pack very
inexpensively. We use them all the time to do our medical nicad packs and we
have been very pleased with the service, price and reliability.
I am not affiliated with Batteries Plus, just a satisfied customer.
