I'm a beginner, and I'm looking to make my own custom audio cable adapter(s).

I can find most of the things I'm looking for at places like SparkFun.com and ShowMeCables.com, but what I really need is about 10 - 20ft of 4 conductor cable suitable for low voltage audio (3.5mm TRRS and TRS connectors...)

All I've found so far are 1000ft spools which cost way to much.

Have you tried ebay? After a quick search I found this. Also have a look at the suppliers resource.

I've checked ebay, and no dice. I need just the cables with no connectors attached sold by the foot.

I'll check the suppliers to see if anything pans out.

That's actually pretty close... I guess as a beggar I couldn't ask for anything in the US?

Have you tried Digikey and Mouser. They are the biggest electronics suppliers in the U,.S.
