Not completely sure where to post this.

Best sites for components?

Starter gear suggestions, soldering irons? De-solder etc etc.

Thanks

Try ESR Electronics (Cullercoats, Tyneside).

I used to shop there and now order online from them instead - great service, good selection and always in stock.

https://www.esr.co.uk/

For the more obscure or esoteric parts you 'might' require just use the bigger suppliers like Farnell and/or RS Components - prices may be a little higher but they do offer same day and free delivery services.

The free delivery at RS is fantastic - there's no minimum order value. With CPC it's a minimum order of £5, which is pretty reasonable.

Try ESR Electronics (Cullercoats, Tyneside).

I bought some bits from there when I was a kid! I used to live a few miles up the road from there :).

....specifically? I was in South Shields for a good number of years.

Digikey and mouser also offer free delivery on some orders to some places, so they can be worth looking at if you want parts that are hard to find elsewhere and/or have an order large enough to get free delivery.

Yeah, they're in the US and you're not. But neither am I (you're closer)
