belt source ideas

Hi...
I have a few devices that need new belts, but my old source (Dalbani )
has cut back on their inventory. I'm okay with giving mm sizes to replace,
so they don't have to be model-specific parts. In fact, Panasonic has
discountinued some of the belts I need.

Any ideas appreciated for belt sources........ Les KA9GLW

Try some of your local repair shops that still do a lot of VCR, turntable
and audio cassette repairs..... many of them will have the belts you
require in stock.... and if not, they can order them for you.
Sometimes you will have better luck with the smaller, independent shops.
Be certain to bring in the old belt(s) and the make and model number(s) of
the devices.
My shop does these types of repairs has most belts in stock....... if I had
to order belts every time I do a repair I wouldn't stay in business very
long.
...... and you will save the shipping charges, minimum order charges, and the
shipping time.

I know it's "offshore" for you, but I use WES Components in Sydney (Australia).
They are a parts house that is set up specifically to supply service techs.

Unfortunately, although they have been in biz for years, they are only just
getting their web activities going. But they do a calatog and DO answer email
enquiries. Shipping is usually same day.
