I am thinking of replacing the BC147 transistors in an old Thorens turntable however it appears that these parts are no longer made. Can anyone tell me what a suitable modern replacement would be? Thanks.

NTE simply buys a BC547 and stamps their part number on it after tripling the price.
Why don't you use a BC547? it has the same chip (but a newer case) as the BC147.
