Hi all,
I recently bought a 6v, 4.5Ah sealed lead acid battery with a Tysonic battery eliminator with an adjustable voltage(1.5v - 12v) to charge it. As I have not handled these batteries before, I need few basic information on its safe charging voltage , maintenance etc.

Thanks in advance.

The battery should have the charging voltages printed on it.

Use the lower "float" charge value.

If it's not marked, 6.9V should be about right. If you can set the current limit, set it to about 1A.

Yes it's written on the battery. It's given that the stand by use voltage regulation is 6.75-6.90v and the cyclic use voltage regulation is 7.20-7.50v. I am not able to understand these terms. If you can plz explain it would help me understand. And by the way I only have a 500mA charger supply. Isn't that enough?

Yes set it to between 6.75 and 6.90 volts. Hopefully the charger is internally limited to 500mA.

It means you charger the battery, stop charging it, discharge it somewhat, then start the process again.
