I'm just starting in home security. Can anyone direct me to some decent
    educational sources (books, online, etc.)???

    Thanks,

    Mitch

I already sent you a GE manual. Search Google in this group for
specifics about the NX-8, but pay close attention to the remarks of
Robert Bass (then ignore them) he is a felon.

    try:
    http://forum.doityourself.com/forumdisplay.php?f=87

    and

    http://forum.homesecuritystore.com

Whatever you do - do NOT buy from BassHome or any of it's
    subsidiaries.

  6. Mitch,
Sorry you are having to wade through so much garbage just for a civil
    inquiry.
You will find a lot of good information from this group... including Robert
    L. Bass. His legal troubles in another lifetime hardly effect your being
able to learn much from him and from his web site.

I would like to recommend another web site and a fabulous source for
specialized alarm tools. It is Labor Savings Devices
    http://www.lsdinc.com/
I think they offer video tapes too. If you are interested in getting into
the business, see if the local alarm association perhaps has his tapes
available that you rent or borrow. In the meantime, the web site has a lot
    of good techniques on it.

Good luck on your venture into the security business. If you have not
learned already, we are like surgeons only we do our magic getting wires
through places you didn't even know had passageways and doing it all through
    3/8 inch holes or less.

    Regards,

My response was not civil? And you think Robert's felony is
explainable as a "legal problem"? Shame on you.

  8. Only with your tools...
