Hello ...

I just want to have some information about microcontrollers of
microchip

There are differents type of memory for the µC. What is the main
différence between the enhanced flash and the flash ?

Is the nanowatt technology really efficient ? Is this technology
allows really a save of energy ... ? How does it work ?

What do you think about the new µC pic 10, the smallest of the world ?
Will this µC be use rapidly by compagnies ?

There are different series of pic : the 12, 14, 16, 17, 18
What are the main differencies between theses groups ? Is one group
has a special domain of application ?

We don't see often the 14 and 17 series ... why ?

Thx ;)

All of your technical questions can be answered with a careful study
(even a quick study) of data sheets.

--> what I want is not the very precise technical specifications but a
global view of the differents pics. I just want to know if some pics
ar more used for special applications or not ? What are the most
populous µc used (in microchip) ? I know technical information are in
the data sheet but global information and global use of these µc are
not described.

Is the pic 17, 14 are used for special applications ?

AFAIK there are no FLASH versions of the 17 chips, and there is only
one (as far as I know somewhat ill-fated) 14 chip (also non-FLASH).
They might be used in large volumes by a small group of customers, but
published designs using these chips are very rare.

'Most popular' depends very much on the audience. I guess the oldies
like the 16C54 are still used in large numbers by old customers.

For new and/or hobby use it's mainly the flash parts. 12-bit, 14-bit,
18F, 30F are all used. The 16F84 is still seen in a lot of (hobby)
designs.

<I just want to have some information about microcontrollers of
<microchip

I'll take a stab at it.

<
<There are differents type of memory for the µC. What is the main
<différence between the enhanced flash and the flash ?

I believe the difference is the number of potential write cycles.

<
<Is the nanowatt technology really efficient ? Is this technology
<allows really a save of energy ... ? How does it work ?

Yes it's efficient. Yes it can save energy. It works by giving the designer
more precise control of how power is allocated to the chip, including
multispeed clocks, individual peripheral power control, and ultra deep sleep
modes. You can find more here:

<What do you think about the new µC pic 10, the smallest of the world ?
<Will this µC be use rapidly by compagnies ?

It serves a purpose, but is limited. The ultra cheap price will be attractive
to many.

<has a special domain of application ?

I'll leave that to someone else. In general the size of the instruction set
varies.

<
<We don't see often the 14 and 17 series ... why ?

14 is specialized chips. 17 was supplanted by 18.
