Baldwin Logohm Mk 6

I have obtained an old Baldwin Logohm Mk 6 resistance bridge that I need to
use for some low resistance measurements, but it has no batteries or
indication of their specification. My main concern is to identify the
voltages and replace the batteries with modern types.

There are two spaces in the battery compartment. One seems to be for a
battery similar to a single cell, with a single contact at each end, one end
being sprung. It does not correspond to a C, D or AA cell, and from the
holder seems to have been about 20mm diameter and about 60mm long.

The other battery may have been about 30mm square in section and about 85mm
long. It had a socket for a 3 pin plug on the end, with the three pins 90
degrees apart on a 10mm PCD.

The instrument was used by the Australian Army and last calibrated in March
1984. The instrument is labelled Bridge Resistance Logarithmic, "Baldwin"
type Logohm Mk 6, Catalogue No. ZDA 0347, B.I.Co. Ltd 1959, Ser. No. 408519.

I have Googled this in vain, and hope that someone may able to help with
information about it.

All the best
