Audio voiceover on TV

Hi I have a Phillips matchline TV and it's driving me insane on all itv and more4 channels there is this audio voice explaining what is happening in the programme I'd think it is for visually impaired people and I can't turn it off and my TV guy has tried lots of times I even got a new comby box, can anyone help me please

surely there is something about it in the instruction/user manual ??

I did not know that blind people "watch" TV with a voice telling what is happening. Deaf people watch TV and read the captioning words.

Its a feature that is basically related to your close captioned features called [audio description] you should find it in that or an audio menu category and be able to turn ot off.
