OMG. Someone just bought a house with an AT&T 8720 installed. It's got a
dozen transmitters and they don't want to replace it.
I have no documentation on AT&T.

Anybody know how to program the communicator on this beast?

Thats an AT&T 8000 and the only way to program the communicator is to
download it or with a programmer

Wish them the best and walk away. The system is junk -- almost as bad as
Loxxoff.

All of you make honest points.
I would walk. But I can't. It's a relative.

So I either come up with a programmer or maybe I end up replacing everything
out of my pocket.
I routinely download to DSC, Ademco and HAI. Do I just need some AT&T
downloading software?

Does this system (including the communicator, which appears to be a seperate
module) just need some PC software to download to it? Or is there some
hardware programmer involved?

You need the software and a Hayes 1200 or Practical Peripheral 1200 or I
think a Supra modem

You could replace the communicator with a generic one that you can program.

In that case, tell them clearly that it's junk and you're unable to support
it. Offer to replace it at cost and if they decline that's their decision.
If you get involved in supporting a garbage product like that you'll wind up
with strained relations. Better to decline and say so up front.

Hmm. You've got some tough relatives there. :^)

I have all that.
But where can I find the software? I did a quick search and came up with
nothing.

The STP (Sarasota terrible pilot) does not like the LOXXON.
It replaces all the 125 000 parts he peddles with.
The LOXXON covers 20,000 sq ft within 5 minutes and the new LOXXON
GSM-Commander is the ideal alarm notification device.
It does not consume any power while waiting for a bad boy.

No, it does not. It is not a recognized alarm panel and works on technology
that only you seem to know anything about...something you idealistically
call "room resonance".

When you first started peddling your junk on this newsgroup, I took a
serious look at this technology, with an open mind, even going so far as to
consult outside experts of my acquaintance. No one could provide a rationale
scientific explanation of the validity of your claims. To a man, they
discounted your technology !

Nor have you ever allowed anyone to see or examine your hardware despite
numerous requests to do so. From that, it is a logical conclusion that you
are scamming your customers with technology based on no known scientific
validity.

In short, you ARE the scammer he says you are ! There are no miracle "one
stop" solutions to the problems of security....

Cooper, why do you have to peddle this shit here? Are you purposely trying to
be a pain in the ass? You know damn well that no one here is ever going to let
you get away with trying to promote this piece of crap you sell to unsuspecting
end users. You're a scam artist and your ancient technology doesn't work and
you know it.

Climb back in your hole. Go away.

Tell you what. There's a guy by the name of Paul over in Belgium who'd really
be interested in it. Why don't you take a trip over there and I'll bet he'll be
glad to buy one from you. If he want's to meet you in the mens room, ... watch
out!

Hello Jimmy boy,
I suppose you're the Jim I had a techical talk with some years ago
(about 1994?).
You said you are a boat specialist and we talked about the danger of
fuel in the bilge water, you remember? You admired my yacht (LOXXONIA, a
little bit smaller than ELISABETH II :)
There is an EX LOXXON for boats, too. BTW In Babylon there are about 100
OEM-LOXXONs sold. All owners are very content.

Sir Campbell,

your rant is a kind of self-beheading!
Is that possible at all? With the help of RLB yes - but then it's not a
self-beheading:)!!!
The position of the European Patent Office does count and not yours!
And the fact that it does function - very reliable.
Some words to your "open mind":
The truth is you have been spoofed with a pressure gear some years ago.
And you're transferring your bad experience upon a product you've never
seen.
Nothing compares to the LOXXON! A protected building becomes a strong
room - within 5 minutes (if you're slow - and I bet you're slow :).
And insides our LOXXON GSM-Commander (notification device) is a
Sony-Ericsson GSM engine and our special electronics. No power
consumption in waiting status! Find a second device (with your
professor's help)on the world market with this important feature!

During the last energy blackouts in U.S. the alarm systems became dead
as a Canadian Home Metal doornail homemade by Sir Campbell - within 24
hours. The LOXXON and the GSM-Commander are self contained: Fully
charged battery will last for ONE YEAR and more.

If the patent office in Germany works like it does in the US anyone can get
a patent on anything whether it works or not

We've seen it in the Quorum already, your bad copy won't do squat either

Gee you took a cellphone and added relays, really sophisticated

When the Canadian jawsmith and old fart is confronted with real
technical data and facts he shows a lack of words - a mental beheading???
RHC seems to be an abbreviation of your Name? Robert-Head-Cancelled?
The other day a neighbor of you - Reg Callahan, a former janitor - told
me via Skype, you started your security job as an (God bless you and me)

*INDEPENDENT DEALER OF QUORUM!*

Big laughter! Even laughing or coughing triggered the alarm - and every
going fart, too :) Now we all know the reason why you're so mad on the
LOXXON. You mix it up with the QUORUM.
As is generally known the MLM principle is based upon selling junk to
relatives, friends and aquaintances - as your professors! Do your
professors all own a QUORUM? Halleluja!
