Hi everyone, I am looking for help because I am trying to repair a cheap 5$ Microphone !

Model is OVM-800

https://www.google.be/search?q=ov-m...HgDg&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=563&bih=598&dpr=1.25

No sound gets passed to the computer (other mics work fine)

It happened while moving to a new house, I suspect the cable has been pulled.

It clearly looks broken, pics are underneath.

I have zero electronics knowledge but a good bit of common sense and I love problem solving (I.T guy), so I d be able to follow instructions :) I do have a cheap soldering iron.

Thanks in advance !!

Obviously there's a red and a yellow wire soldered to the microphone head, but only the yellow one is going into the cable leading to th ePC. The red wire most probably was soldered to the switch (where the solder blob is on the lower left side in your pictures). Re-solder the red wire from the microphone head to this connection, insulate everything and test it.
You can also bypass the switch f you don't need it. In that case de-solder the wire from the switch's center connector and re-solder it to the red wire coming from the microphone head.
