Are there any dual-redundant alarm power supplies?

Here is a situation where reliability rules over cost...

Looking for a 12 VDC alarm power supply with extremely high
reliability. Current application uses a standard charger with sealed
Lead-Acid battery combination. Problem is, either the charger could
fail, or the battery could fail to hold a charge, either of which is
not good.

Are there any dual charger/dual battery combo power supplies available
at 12 V that will automatically switch over to the "good" battery or
charger if a failure should occur?

I don't know of any dual, supervised power supplies though I assume they
exist. You could make your own by connecting two separate power supplies,
each with its own backup battery, in parallel. Consider using supervised
power supplies and connecting the trouble relays of each to a separate,
24-hour zone on the alarm system. Configure these zones for an appropriate
response (CS notification, remote warning lamp, piezo or strobe) to warn
personnel if either supply fails or if either begins running on backup.

Finally a well articulated, *accurate* answer from you.
