    Hi Everyone,

This is my first post and I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to the topic of Electronics. I have a fairly basic understanding of how things work and this is really just to get some expert advice.

I have a Freetronics "Eleven" board that I'm told is Arduino compatible. I also have a IR kit from KEMO (B216) that I want to use with the Arduino. I have been able to hook up some basic functions with the Arduino, eg Blinking LED's and just want to know how I would detect the state of the IR beam (eg broken or not). The KEMO kit can output to a relay card and also has an LED light up when the IR beam is broken.

This is the datasheet for the IR kit - http://www.kemo-electronic.de/datasheets/b216n.pdf

Any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers
