I got this amp from ebay for my 8 channel preamp I made and when turned off it makes a loud pop and crack, how would I eliminate this on 8 channels?

Put a large capacitor across the power terminals

The 5v digital supply drops way before the main supply which has a 0.1 farad on it I dont want an enormous cap for the 5v supply too theres already 4400uf total on the 5v supply, I could keep the 5v supply and preamp on and just switch off the supply to the amp but that's not very efficient.

Perhaps the 5V supply can be used to drive a relay that connects the speakers only when the 5V supply is within spec?

Oh yea I could use a relay to switch off the main power to the amp!

Or even better, a DPST switch to cut mains power and disconnect the cap from the amp together!
