Where is the factory amp located in a
1995 Toyota Avalon???
I have a problem with the audio going dead or
the right rear speaker making a popping sound.

Any advice or help appreciated...

Did you look on the backs of the speakers? Some the factory type automobile
sound systems use speakers with integrated power amplifiers built in the
backs of the speakers. If this is not the fact about your car, then you
would have to trace out the wires from the dash unit to see where they go.

Can't say for sure, but I know early '90's Camrys had the factory amp under the
passenger seat. It was a small little thing, about 3 inches by 8 inches. I
had a couple of connectors to it. There is a jumper wire harness near the
right side of the radio that is used with the system with the underseat amp.
If you have the system with the amp built in to the deck, you unplug the jumper
harness and plug the loose ends into the radio directly.
