Hi Guys,
Does anyone know of a good AM/FM tuner kit I can get in(to) Australia. Back
in the 80's I made two ETI (or was it EA? - can't remember the kit number)
tuners for laboratory use in an engineering course - superhet tuning with a
digital display & AM stereo in a 1U rack mount case. They were fantastic
tuners and I'd like to make something similar for my home sound system.
I've asked good ol' Leo at Silicon Chip if they have any plans to do a tuner
kit, but he says it's just not economical - it's cheaper to buy an off the
shelf one (but where's the fun in that?). I think he's just interested in
dusting off the old plastic power amp design every year, change a few values
& give it a new name and run it over 2-3 magazine issues.
