hai sir, i m having a long time doubt about ac power supply...hope u will clear my doubt

In dc supply electrons move from -ve terminal to +ve terminal, In ac supply it has 3 pins named phase(hot),neutral and gnd. so my doubt is if current(electrons) flow from only phase to neutral means it is also like dc power supply....so wats the different?

    Hi there
    welcome to the forums :)

in a DC power supply the current flow is in one direction only
in an AC power supply the current flow alternates back and forward at what ever
frequency your local power supplier uses some countries 50 Hz, others 60Hz

    cheers
    Dave
