Hi, I have an older Aiwa CX-Z600 stereo system (about year 1995).
The problem I had that unit will have a lighted up but blank LCD
panel. About 1 week later it died completely. I replaced STK-4121-II
and it came back again but the LCD panel is still blank, but has the
backlight. I can't get to power it on, seems to be kinda locked. I
replaced a resistor which had burned marks around the PCB.
    Any other suggestions?
    Thanks

  2. Just the usual. Check for other bad solder connections, bad resistors,
    voltage regulators and the like.
A few Aiwa models had problems with bad caps in a voltage doubler circuit
which did pertain to the display. I have no idea if this circuit even exists
    in your model.
