air purifier / ozone/negative ion generator

I'm looking for an air purifier. I understand this covers a number of
different devices (in descending order of effectiveness):

* air filter
* negative ion generator
* ozone generator

Does anybody know where I could get a small ozone generator and negative ion
generator (in one device). Having an air filter would also be nice.

I stress that I only need a small one of these, because I only want to spend
up to about $200. I'm in Sydney, and if anyone knows any decent outlets that
sell these beasts, that would help too.

cheers,

When I was crook I had a portable one that ran on batteries. It hung around
my neck.
I can't remeber the name, but maybe a google search will find it.

That's a strange request. Most negative ion generator specifications
stress that they do not produce ozone because of it's, well
established, toxic effects. I know that ozone has been advocated as
therapeutic in some circumstances but I don't think that you will find
a commercial device that produces significant quantities of both ozone
and negative ions.

I was very impressed with the specifications of the Zestron Ionair
ionizer. I was even more impressed when they replaced my unit, without
charge, after a U.S. retailer sent me a 110V unit that I destroyed by
connecting it to our 240V supply. The manufacturer is here:
http://www.electrocorp.net/. I don't currently use my ion generator
because an effective generator makes a terrible mess of nearby paint
work. I think your idea of a combination air filter and ion generator
may solve this problem.
