I just bought a Ademco Lynx system from Ebay. I can not get the panel to
page my cell phone. I enter data as follows

    7 in data field *49
    1 in data field *87
my cell phone numbers in data field *42

I then unplug the telephone wire from my land phone and plug the RJ11 into
the 8-position jack of the panel. I then press and hold the AUX button for
at least 5 seconds. I even try to fault some zone to trigger an alarm and
see if the panel page my cell phone. I have try to enter my other land phone
number in data field *42. So far I have not got any luck.

Does my panel has some burn-in number? Is the modem broken? The Lynx panel
was dated around 1998. Could the paging feature is not available for this
early model? I appreciate any DIY expert could offer any help. TIA

If I remember correctly, the paging function on the Lynx will not work
unless you subscribe to monitoring service.

If I remember correctly you have to have a CS programed into field 43
before it will dial out. so put your pager into field 41 and a number
    you can remember into 43.
