    Dear All:

    For ACPI S2 and S3:

Sleep states. In these states, memory contexts are held but CPU
contexts are lost. The differences between S2 and S3 are in CPU
re-initialization done by firmware and device re-initialization.

For Windows XP / SP1 / SP2 or other Microsoft OS:

    We can only use
    S0, {S2, S3} , S4, S5
    S0: Full speed
    S4: Save RAM to disk.
    S5: Turn off

Which mode is the WINDOWS XP "stand by" mode ?

Can we control S2/S3? or controlled by device/firmware?
Could you please describe more detail about S2 and S3 mode ?

Thank you very much for your help.

    Best regards,
