accurian all write dvd recorder with 80gb hdd adr-3223

the above unit will not play or record dvds.the problem started 2 weeks ago. it tries to read but ejects disk and wants to insert new disk. unable to contact mfg.

(Sorry for obvious suggestions) Have you tried cleaning the lenses, etc? Have you opened it up? Notice anything that looks funky?
