I have purchased an AC 240V fan and want to wire it up. However both the wires on it are grey and no polarity is stated. Is it possible that polarity does not matter? Below is a link to the documentation that was provided with the fan. Please could someone let me know how this should be wired. Many thanks.

AC means alternating current. In other words, the polarity is constantly reversing. Therefore it does not matter if you reverse the wires.

If you are playing with 240V and do not know what you are doing, get someone to help who can ensure that you are safe.
