I bought a portable dvd player that has a power adapter saying this:
    Power: AC 110-240V
    Hertz: 50/60
does this mean i just need to get an outlet adapter to the two-hole
europian one and i can use the charger there?

That means it is a universal power supply - as all portable
equipment should have been for decades. All you need is an
adapter to convert your power plug to their wall receptacle.
A worse solution would be to use a power converter. Yes,
    worse.

Europe has something like three different receptacle
standards. Web sites to help select the adapter plug for your
    country:
