AA rechargeable batteries

    Is it possible to recharge N.American AA rechargeable batteries using a
    European recharger. I have both NiCD, and NiHM batteries, and planning a
    trip to Europe. A friend over there has a recharger, and suggests I use his
    while in Europe. Thanks !
  2. What kind of charger? NiCd and NiMH batteries need to be charged
    differently -- although there may be chargers that handle both kinds.

    I don't know what kind of charger......the voltage in Europe (220) is of
    course much higher than in Canada (120) where I live..... Could this voltage
    difference be cause for problems ?
