Hello, I have a question about an asynchronous counter that somedy asked me, i need to turn off a counter when it turns to certain predetermined value, so i have this idea, but maybe someone has a better one, or an easier one. using a NPN transistor working in cut-off and saturation interting de voltage supply of the Flip Flops, and when the final number is achieved an 1 is sent to the transisor base to saturate it and that way the voltage supply is cut, and so the counter will turn off, but to be turned on again, but that will just reset it, because after it turnson the 1 in the base will be lost, returning the supply to the Flip Flops, anybody knows another way for it to remain turned off? and other to get it powered back?

Maybe with an SCR arrangement, maybe.

    Thanks.
