A magnet has a magnetic field, without altering the properties of the magnet would the magnetic field ever degrade?

    hi there
    welcome to the forums.

This has been discussed recently on a physics forum I also partake in

The general consensus of opinion was ( from those in the know) that excluding
strong external magnetic field influences a magnet will keep its field ( strength) for
pretty much for millions of years if not for ever.
suffice it to say its field will, at minimum, out live you and me and many of our generations to come :)

    Hi there.
Your magnets are fine, know worry about your bearings. LOL. :D
    Dave. :)
    PS, sorry poor joke.

    Hi,

Interesting post, do you have a link to the physics forum? I wouldn't mind reading that discussion.

    Thanks,

    Fred
