Hi all,

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to electronics so please forgive any mistakes. I am working on a little mic/line audio mixer circuit found here and as you can see it has a pos/neg power supply. Not wanting to run it off 9v batterires i came up with this circuit using the l7809 and l7909 voltage regulators to get power to the circuit.

What i need to know is:

Am on the right track with this circuit?

Am I "Barking up the wrong tree"?

Is there a better way?

My circuit:

Thanks for your time.

You can't make a dual supply out of a single just like that. You'll need to start with a dual (+/0/-) 12V, or else use an inverter circuit to make a negative out of the positive.
