Hello,
I would like to make communicate two 8 bits based microcontrollers (MCS51 or
Microchip ones) between them using bluetooth protocol. I'm searching of all
what can help me and precisely : Links towards people having tested this
handling,specialised circuit, chip ...
cordially.

Zeevo's Zerial works nicely, but may not be available in hobbyist
quantities.

Hello,
And what about RS232-Bluetooth-converters solution, do you have some
reference (low cost, about 700 module) ?
Thnx.

The lowest I've seen so far, is $250 per end.
Pretty lame, considering BT's whole reason for existing was as a low cost
replacement for serial cables.

I just got a USB to BT adapter, D-Link DBT-120, for $40 including
shipping. Seems to work just fine.

Like any network connection, there are layers upon layers of software
needed to support BT from end to end. I don't know how many layers are
contained in the D-Link hardware and how many layers my desktop needs to supply.
Judging from the amount of software I had to load from the CD, I suspect the
little adapter would need a pretty fast micro with lots of RAM and some
sophisticated customized driver software.
