8 bit DAC

    I'm looking to convert 8 bit parallel data to analog chip and/or circuit.
    The requirement is the DAC must be free running all the time (no timing for
    writes, clears, whatever), single 12V supply and the output must slew from 0
    to approximately 12V. I see not many DACs operate at 12V (like the AD7224
    which slews from 0 to 10V).

    Why not use a 5V DAC followed by an amplifier?

    if you already have a Parallel output then simply create a
    resistor ladder on the 8 bit outputs.
