60" RCA projo model60756A,chassisTK178L2C (CTC178),year:1996.No
power,I normally don't repair projection tv's so the customer the
chassis (not the complete set) which is enclosed in a chest type
wooden case.He did not bring the customer control board which contains
the power button so I cannot tell you if the relay clicks but the
micro does have 5V volts.
From all of the research I did not the internet for this chassis there
was a common failure for overvoltage with the B+ regulation circuit
causing no power or shutdown.
Anyone have the RCA service bulletin for this?and any other common
repair tips programs.

Gov: Using the RCA remote you can access every function excepting maybe the
entry to the service mode. Check the standby voltages from the power supply
circuits. Check the horiz output. Similar designs have endures failure of
some of the filter capasitors in teh regulator control circuts. Also these
sets have the Thomson On-Board Tuner which has produces a rash of nasty
problems including destroying the e-prom. Suggest getting the service manual
for the set to do any real in-depth diagnostics or having it serviced by an
authorized servicer. BTW if you do not have chipper checker it may become
more of a problem to you than what you care to endure. Cheers.
