    Does anyone know a good cookbook for 555 timer?

    Hi.
    There is a few 555 dedicated sites. Try this one:

    by clicking 555 at the left column. Then, at the end there is some links.
    RadioShack used to have the F. Mims 555 booklet. Check that!

    Nope. He wrote "The TTL Cookbook" and "The CMOS Cookbook". (Both are still
    worth having, especially the CMOS one). He wrote a little about the 555 in the
    TTL cookbook.

    Mr. Lancaster self-publishes those of his books that are no longer in print.
