  1. Hi,

I recently got a "cheap" broken projector via ebay -
The only damage was a disassembled flatfoil cable ;-))))

The lamptimer says 600h - but the projected image shows
some artefacts I hope to be able to remove.

    1) Picture generally too blue
    2) Pretty less reaction to brigthness/contrast/color temperature control
    3) Slightly burned in "no signal" message (red text - on black I have less
    blue intensity there)
    4) At the bottom - "the white" got s pretty yellow.

    -> Do you know a source for 3M service/adjustement/support/spareparts
-> Do you know a DIY site which covers such topics ?
-> Can you give me some advice what improvement can be done with reasonable
    effort ?

    What I think:

    - The UHP bulb is ok
    - The blue problemis because of a dirty/broken/worn filter -where to buy ? -
or filter heated up by some reasons (airflow )
    - I have the feeling that the biasing of the LCD´s has a problem - schematic
    ?
    - The yellow thing is due to biasing or second filter worn
    - I can do nothing to the burned in thing.

    rgds.

    Wolfgang
