Hello all,
Does anyone have one of those 30 in 1 (or 130/200/300/500 in 1)
kits by Maxitronix. I wanted
to buy one of those but I need to have a preview of the
projects to decide which one I want. Anyone has one
of those, and could post the list of projects ?

If this is one of those spring connector type boards that radioshack used to
sell, avoid it like the plague.

Using on of these to learn about electronics is like using paint-by-numbers
to learn about fine art. They give you a booklet with step-by-step
instructions on how to wire up a bunch of circuits of minimal
interest/utility and leave you totally clueless as to how the circuit
actually works.

You're *much* better off getting a solderless breadboard, some hookup wire,
a sack of assorted resistors, some capacitors, LEDs, switches, transistors,
basic ICs and a good book. There should be a FAQ somewhere that deals with
how to get into hobby electronics, and I'm sure others will have good
suggestions as well.
