3 button remote on 236i2

I have a 3 button remote connected to my 236i2 panel. Have just had to
default the panel, does anyone have any idea as to what type the remote
may be and how it is configured?
It is basically a black box with a row of surface mounted led's near
the connector strip. It only uses three wires which connect to the
keypad terminals.
