    When we need 3.3V ? In which fielf oftenly we will use that ?

    Have you studied logic gates at all yet?

    Have you looked at static and dynamic power usage?

    If you review this you'll not only find the answer, but understand the reason why and where things are headed.

    In PCs, what has happened to Vcore over generations of processors?

    have studied.bt just fundamental.didnt mention abt 3.3V

    Static and dynamic power usage of logic is strongly influenced by the supply voltage. Reducing it will reduce the power dissipated.

    Most modern microprocessors and microcontrollers use 3V3 as IO voltage these days. Most of the 3V3 IO is 5V tolerant for the inputs, but you need to take a bit of care when driving 5V logic with 3V3 outputs. I use to specify 5V HCT logic for that since the TTL levels is compatible with the 3V3 output. You should also be aware the some of the HC families will work on 3V3, at a reduce frequency spec.

    3V3 is normally not used for the microprocessor core, there you'll have voltages from 1V5 to 2V5, 1V8 is common.

    You should get some updated litterature for the new low voltage logic families.

    Always read the datasheet for new components you want to use, never take things for granted.
