have a question about the 2N3821 N-channel transistor. Ive been given the question and no help from the tutor on this. Ive attached a photo of the circuit and question, if anyone can point me in the direction of where to look that would be great or to give me a simple version if whats going so I can understand it, I would ask the tutor but it takes him to long to answer the question and goes off topic, hes mad as a box of frogs.

    Thanks in advance

I assume XFG1 is an AC signal generator.

The signal passes through C1 to the transistor.
Will the capacitor impede the signal?

When the signal varies the gate voltage, what happens at the source?
If the source varies, what happens at the drain?

So, what is the voltage gain of the circuit?

You need to import some snakes to get rid of the frogs.

There are some tutorials at the top of this forum.
    Wikipedia can often supply information.
There are book reviews under general electronics chat.
