Hi Rob. I'm still waiting on my repairer to fix mine. Some of the bits
(OM345 etc) are ruuly hard to source. Could be another couple months yet
:( Boy I miss my Macaroni.

Hi,
replace the OM345 with either a miniciruits MAR 3 or similar, or an nec
MC-5156or similar

I've replaced an OM series with an mar 3. Little bit more gain if I recall
correctly, and the 75 vs 50 ohm is usually not that crticial either.

Also... got a motorola 2001d if any one is interested?

Cheers

Craig, apparently it has been a real dog to fix. Power supply fault took out
quite a bit. 2 weeks !!!!! Crikey I'll be lucky to get it back within 6
months.

hi
2001d is a good buy for someone who wants it for themselves as I would
resell it not really suitable the om device he is talking about is om345
(om2045 is updated number ) still available from ifr in aust and states
with the us vs aust dollar quiet attractive to buy from us at moment
if I get anyone after a box like yours I will pass on

Hi Craig,
hmmm. I assume vicom is the point of sale for the spares here? I'm not sure
if it's their pricing policy or IFR but they are expensive for parts and
manuals, in my experience anyway. I was after a service manual for a 2031
sig gen. OUCH! $1000. Mind you I've not tried agilent for a service manaul
of late.

needless to say i waited patiently on ebay and picked one up for US$50.

yes - i know - i stuffed up on that url

yes some of their prices are through the roof the om is about 100 aus
considering wot they are really worth but i find people would rather pay the
extra $80 than wait
