    27" Hitachi stereo tv model:TN-77032,chassis:G9LXU,year:April 1990
    wooden cabinet (table top model,not a floor model)assembled in Point
    Claire,Quebe,Canada.The tv has no power not even 5v standby upon
    troubleshooting I found the following parts to be defective:

    F901=5 amp fuse (power supply board)
    Q901=Panasonic # FN651=Hitachi # 23284521 & 2328454 & 2328451 (power
    supply board)
    C958=100 Uf,50v (near F901 on power supply board)
    C730=470 Uf,35v (main board near flyback)

    and about 30 other caps throughout the main board which I have not yet
    replaced either because from reading old posts/replys on other sites
    other techs replaced Q901=FN651 only to have it fail again.
    I would like to know what caused Q901=FN651 to fail?.
    Thanks in advance for help.
