12v to 6v

Hi to you all hopefully you can help me it has been a number of years since I built any circuit and need a little advice I am building a 12v to 6v circuit and just checking in the circuit it asks for 1uF 25v Caps looking though my box of bits I have found some 1uF 100v Caps and was just checking if they would be ok to use attached is the circuit

Hi tigmed,
That shouldn't be a problem at all.
It is usually a good idea to have higher voltage caps. The voltage rated is only the maximum rating. But physical size can sometimes hinder placement.

Thanks Matin for the quick reply, size is not a problem as its being mounted in a vehicle.

It is rather "over kill".
If it's going in a car, mount it clear of all heating pipes and anything else that gets hot.
Caps don't like heat.

Were its going is cool with a fan to draw the heat away (piped into the cab to keep my feet warm lol) the total load will be about 8a thats why I am using the design I found
