Just received a dual voltage DVD PLAYER, SAMSUNG
Has a 220V plug BUT NO converting plug to 110 included.
I have lived in Japan, Germany, & The Netherlands. My experience is there is a switch on the unit to move between voltage usage. There is no such switch.
So I think that if the unit was set for 110 the conversion plug would have been provided in the factory pack!
Thinking this unit was suppose to go to a 220 country.
The seller is going to send me a conversion plug. I wonder of that is appropriate without some way of also switching the unit internally.
knowledge please report

As a general rule, conversion plugs only accomodate differing plug layouts, not different voltages.
Most items like this these days are made for maybe 85 to 220v ac.
It would normally be marked on the product model number label if it is.
How do you know it's dual voltage..?

You my not be familiar, 220V in other countries is a two prong plug with round pins that match those countries outlets. That is what this unit has,..an international 220V plug.
They are NOT like the 220V appliance plugs in the US with three flat prongs on three different orientations.

It says 110V-220V on the unit and on the manual.

To me that seems to indicate a voltage anywhere in between 110v to 220 volts is ok.
If there is no indication of a changeover switch anywhere (as there used to be many years ago) then, as I said above it is much like any TV you get these days.
So all you would need in that case is an adaptor to allow for different plug layout.
