The question is kind of ambiguous to us.
What' the make and model of your garage door opener?

A relay coil is pretty much the opposite of a resistive load, since it is basically a big inductor. That usually is the input to a garage door opener, also, but the door switch input usually is down around 24 V. Given that there already was a question about using this part in a low voltage application (answer: no), this doesn't seem to be the right part for the job.

Can you get in contact with the mfgr of your z-wave relay and ask specifically about your application? They might already have seen questions about this, and possible references for what you need. Maybe Google the z-wave relay and see if anybody else has posted anything anywhere about wiring it up to a garage door opener.
Maybe somebody else here might, but I'm short on time to look-up info on the internet on the Z-wave relay and the garage door opener, and then figure-out how to interface them with the proper relay, right now.
It was good to ask here, but somebody here has to look at the circuits of both to recommend the best interface relay.
