    C program .cpp file encryption

You only need the .exe. The .cpp, .h and .hpp are purely for compilation purposes, you certainly don't distribute them unless you want the program to be open source.

    Minimum test equipment

For the oscilloscope Rigol are excellent value for money. Bench power supply, dual tracking to at least +/-15v preferably higher, at least 3A, with current limit control/monitoring as well. You also need a fixed 5v and 3.3v, but they can be just little DIY kits and only about 2A.

I bought this at a flea market, not entirely sure what it is, help?

Based on what KJ6EAD said, there really is nothing practical you can do with it. The laser is invisible and highly dangerous to your eyesight because of it. Throw it away, the temptation to just hook it up, at least for me, can overcome my sense of self preservation at times.

What's the difference between copper/brass power plugs and nickel plated ones?

I prefer the brass. It is self cleaning each time you insert it, resistant to corrosion, brass fittings were common on ships, and not a thin layer as in the plating. I would suggest that the brass model is the more expensive item.

How is transformer impedance selected here:

But what are the power ratings of the 2 transformers? I bet the output transformer is a lot larger. But it is only a possibility, I wouldn't get too caught up in it. It is also possible that the input transformer provides a wide range of adjustment for component variations and or varying...

How is transformer impedance selected here:

It does seem strange to use the 500k pot for a 2500 ohm input impedance. Perhaps the transformer was designed for something else and just adapted for this application. That is quite common, as making unique components can get quite expensive.

    CircuitStudio by Altium

I bought the software when it was still Protel Advanced Schematic, and for look and feel I still prefer it, but unfortunately it lacks modern features.

How is transformer impedance selected here:

The transformer needs to be able to drive the secondary impedance, in this case the 500k pot, which feeds the tube grid. How is the primary of the 25k transformer wired? What is its ratio.?

    battery powered oscilloscope

Go for an isolation transformer on the unit under test. It will protect not only the scope but also the operator. I have recently purchased a Rigol oscilloscope which I quite like.

    DIP Package

DIP just means dual inline package, normally up to 22 pins it means 0.3" wide by 0.1" pitch, above 24 pins it means 0.6" wide by 0.1" pitch. But it can be loosely used of connectors which can have numerous other pitches. It always pays to look at the mechanical schematic, especially with surface...

    DIP Package

The problem is they are 2mm pitch instead of the standard 2.54mm(0.1"). You can buy a 2mm to 2.54mm adapter at: http://www.pcpartsandcables.com/support/pitchadaptors/pitchadaptors.php but it only does 10 pins instead of 14, perhaps 2 would do the trick? Messy though.

    D-Type Flip-Flop (74HC74)

You seem to have all the bases covered. Just one thing with CMOS, don't leave any inputs floating even in unused parts of a package, tie them either HIGH or LOW. They have a way of oscillating and causing strange resuslts.

    D-Type Flip-Flop (74HC74)

How is the reset pin held HIGH? Through a resistor?

    Help identifying the SMD component

It is a switch mode regulator of some sort, stepping the input voltage down to a controlled level for the 78M05 so it doesn't dissipate too much power.

    Combining two ac sources rectifier

Just use an AC relay. Place the coil across the mains and ensure that the contacts connect the mains through when mains is available, else no mains then the alternator is connected.

    LDR's to read Positioning Wheel

LDR's are not the right component for this. They tend to be large area (relatively) and unfocused, no optics. For such a coded disc you would be better off with perhaps optical switches, or a linear detector array with illumination.

need some help on solar radio circuit

It is really hard to follow your attempt at a schematic, vague and ambiguous. You need to redraw it using standard circuit symbols, and you need to fill in all the detail.

Which one has the lower noise level?Wheatstone bridge or direct measurement?

I think you would use the thevenin equivalent resistance: i.e. R1||R2, R3||Rx. You would then RMS the noises together to get the final noise across Vg.

    How to control 700 solenoids?

"IMO, such complexity is only warranted for high current, high duty-cycle solenoids that remain actuated long enough to experience a significant temperature rise. I would ask the solenoid valve manufacturer for their recommendations after selecting a particular valve and describing its intended...
